November 4, 2014 - Heading Home - Busan Airport and Beijing

We woke up at 4:00 am in order to get to the airport by 5:00 am. On arrival at the airport we discovered that the check-in agents did not start work until 5:30 am. We went through customs, and our flight left on-time at 6:50 am. On arrival in Beijing, we made our way via a shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 - a half-hour bus ride! Terminal 3 was new and HUGE! When we looked for a place to check in for our flight to Vancouver we were told that the flight we had been booked on had been cancelled. We were booked on a flight that was to leave 3 hours after the cancelled flight. So now we had 7 hours to wait in Beijing.

November 3, 2014 - Our Last Full Day in Korea

On our last day in Tongyeong we visited with Jordan in the morning and packed in the afternoon. The following photographs are taken from Jordan and Minju's livingroom window, and en route to our hotel in Busan that evening. We were struck by the beauty of the sunrises and the marine activity in Tongyeong, as well as the preponderance of tunnels and bridges. We were also thankful that we could rely on Jordan to drive - busy cities and fast drivers!

November 2, 2014 - Out for Lunch and a Classical Concert

Trip to Busan

The four of us joined Minju's second sister and her children for lunch near Busan. We had what can only be descibed as a feast and had a very nice visit. After that, Jordan and Minju treated us to a Maksim Mrvica Concert in Busan. The concert was in the Busan Cultural Center. We got home late at night after a really full and delightful day.
