October 31, 2014 - in Geoje

Minju arranged for us to go on a bus tour of the HUGE shipyard she works in - the Geoje Shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries. We waited in the visitors cafeteria for the tour leader to lead us to the bus. Garth and I were blown away by the massive proportions of this shipyard. We have never seen the like. It was a terrific experience. Thanks, Minju!

Joking over the focus on their phones.
A luxury bus took us around the shipyard - certainly not a walking tour!

So many projects going on at once.

It was an overcast day.

Drydock.

Another bus.

Do you see the welding going on here?

Another perspective.

One of the photos decorating the tourist observation platform in the shipyard.

Another of the products of this massive shipyard.

Our nephew Dennis works on a rig - wonder if it's anything like this.
The bus dropped us off at the entrance to the shipyard.
Afterwards, we went to a little restaurant for a light lunch.
At the restaurant trying to figure out how much money to pay the cashier.
