October 15th and 16th 2014 Rotorura, New Zealand

We left New Plymouth at 8:30 via coach and had morning tea at Mokau. We had lunch on the way to Rotorura at the home of Sue and Mike Wagstaff in Te Kuiti (a most pleasant garden, with affable hosts from the local rhodo club). Two nights in Rotorura - a Maori cultural evening and more stunning gardens - Jeanette and Graeme Blackburn's home (check out Jeanette's website), and Jim and Juanita Elley's garden - Rhodohaven in Hamarana. On the second day, Garth went on a tour of one of the thermal areas and a Maori cultural exhibit.
We also attended a farming exhibit at The Agrodome - lots of sheep and even an opportunity for me to milk a cow! One of the photos shows me displaying my "Certificate of Udderance!"
